RE-lax….this is something I struggle with on the daily. I’m sure like many of you, I feel stressed and obligated to take care of so many things in my life that RE-laxing seems like something other people get to do. Work, taking kids to activities, being a wife and a Mom, laundry, food shopping, making meals, homework checks, organizing schedules, exercise (or trying to), and in general being the CEO of my life, seems to leave NO TIME to RE-lax.

This is not a good thing! We all need to take some “me” time. I started walking several days a week, at least 30 minutes, with headphones listening to music or an e-book. I find this really relaxing and it helps keep me on track for leading a healthy lifestyle as well. Some days I walk with David and we just get to be alone for 30 minutes and talk about life, laugh about silly things that happened in each of our worlds and just hold hands! That is an incredible way for me to relax. Spending some one on one time with my girls is also a favorite. It can be making a recipe together, stretching or vegging out watching a TV show.

These things are free, and can be done on your schedule. They work for me. Maybe they’ll work for you, or maybe you’ll find some different things that work for you. If so, please share them with me, I’d love to add more to my repertoire.

This is something I have to consistently work on, as well as putting the phone away during these activities so I don’t get sidetracked or sucked in to things that would interrupt this time to. Please share your ideas with me, I’d LOVE to hear them

Gianna and I spending some “1 on 1” time:) Taking a walk on our way to do a little grocery shopping! it really was RE-laxing.

  1. I put aside time everyday to meditate for at least 15 -30 minutes everyday. I cook to music and I practice breathing low in the abdomen and slow. These really help to put me in a much more relaxed state! 🙂

  2. Heya just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the images aren’t loading properly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different internet browsers and both show the same results.
