RE-fresh….

I love this word! We can apply it to almost anything: refresh your wardrobe, refresh your manicure, refresh your living room or kitchen. You can refresh just about anything. That’s why I love the word so much! You can apply it to just about anything.

It’s a cold, rainy, Saturday today. I’m feeling kind of down and a little bit blue and I’m not exactly sure why, so I’ve decided to RE-fresh my attitude. Sometimes with just a little bit of effort and determination you can turn your whole outlook around. Trust me, I don’t find this easy! Part of what enables me to push myself to get it done is being accountable to all of you that are on this journey with me.

Today I started with a walk in the rain…weird right? I would not normally think to do this, but decided to take what I thought might be part of what was making me blue (the weather) and use it to beat the blues. I put on my beanie, grabbed an umbrella and my headphones and off I went. I played music that I needed to work on for a new show and before I knew it I was walking, singing and bopping in the rain and I felt GOOD! Boy, if you only knew the effort and conversations I had with myself to push myself out the door. It would have been so much easier to just curl up and feel blue. I was so happy I took this one simple step. It changed how I felt the entire rest of the day.

I was motivated to get some things done around the house, have a fun lunch with my daughter, work on some of the changes I want to make for my business and most importantly, it inspired me to write it all down to share with you all. Thanks you guys for being in the back of my head pushing me to RE-fresh my attitude! It was a HAPPY SATURDAY!
